Rackheath Community Council has undertaken a review of its 2017 Adopted Neighbourhood Plan in accord with the Neighbourhood Planning (General) Regulations 2012 (as amended).

Following a consultation with the community and other stakeholder bodies on a pre-submission draft of the modified Neighbourhood Plan between 17 November 2024 and 6 January 2025 (in accordance with Regulation 14 of the aforementioned Regulations), the Community Council has now submitted its proposed, modified Neighbourhood Plan to Broadland District Council.

The submitted documents have been checked by the local planning authority against the relevant criteria in Schedule 4B of the Town & Country Planning Act 1990 and have now been approved for publication.

In accordance with Regulation 16 of the Neighbourhood Planning (General) Regulations, 2012 (as amended), Broadland District Council is now consulting on the submitted, modified Neighbourhood Plan. The consultation period runs from 9am on 14 May until 5pm on 27 June 2025.

Comments (preferably using the Response Form available in the documents section, below) should be sent to neighbourhoodplans@southnorfolkandbroadland.gov.uk.

All responses must be received before the consultation deadline, stated above. They cannot be treated as confidential and, with the exception of personal details, will also be published as part of a summary document on this webpage, at the end of this consultation period. As part of your response, you can also state if you wish to be notified if and when the modified Neighbourhood Plan is formally adopted by Broadland District Council at a later stage.
