Omicron Hospitality and Leisure Grant (OHLG)
This government scheme provides support to hospitality, leisure and accommodation businesses, in recognition that the rise of the Omicron variant means that some businesses are likely to struggle at this time.
The main purpose of this new grant scheme is to provide support to businesses that offer in-person services, where the main service and activity takes place in a fixed rate-paying premises in the hospitality, leisure and accommodation sectors. There will be three levels of grants (depending on the rateable value of the premises) of up to £6,000.
Omicron Additional Restrictions Grant (OARG)
Government has also provided councils with a further modest allocation of funding which now enables us to open to applications to provide some grant support to other businesses severely impacted by the rise of the Omicron variant.
The Local Discretionary Hospitality Grant which the council has been offering in response to Omicron has now been incorporated into this grant scheme.
Start-up grants - available now
This scheme aims to encourage and support new business start-ups by providing grant funding of £1,000 towards the start-up costs supporting the growth of the business.
Principally, the scheme will be open to new start-up businesses trading a minimum of 16 hours a week that have been trading less than six months.
Broadland enterprise grants - available now
This scheme aims to assist with the expansion and development of existing small businesses trading in the Broadland district. The grant is match funded and can be used to fund half the costs of a wide range of business activities up to a maximum grant payment of £750.
Principally, the scheme will be open to businesses trading a minimum of 16 hours a week that have been trading for at least 6 months.
