Bin collections during the hot weather

Due to the hot weather forecast, our bin crews will start collections earlier, from 6am instead of the usual 6:30am. This applies in South Norfolk from Wednesday to Friday, and in Broadland on Thursday and Friday.

Acle Neighbourhood Plan Review

Acle Parish Council has undertaken a review of its 2015 Adopted Neighbourhood Plan in accord with the Neighbourhood Planning (General) Regulations 2012 (as amended).

Latest News

Acle Parish Council submitted the proposed, modified Neighbourhood Plan and supporting documents to Broadland District Council and the Broads Authority in May 2026. The submitted documents were checked by the local planning authorities against the relevant criteria in Schedule 4B of the Town & Country Planning Act 1990 and approved for publication.

In accordance with Regulation 16 of the Neighbourhood Planning (General) Regulations, 2012 (as amended), there followed a period of consultation on the Neighbourhood Plan, organised by Broadland District Council, between June and July 2026. A summary of the representations received during the consultation can be viewed in the documents section, below.

The next stage in the process is for the Neighbourhood Plan to undergo an independent examination. Mr Andrew Ashcroft has been appointed to undertake the work and any formal correspondence relating to the examination will be published in the documents section, below.
