Leaf clearance

Broadland and South Norfolk Councils have no duty to clear leaves, so we do not send our sweeper vehicles out specifically to cleanse issues with leaves as they are a seasonal condition much like snow/ice. However invariably leaves will be swept as part of our standard street cleansing services. 

We only sweep public roads and highways and Council owned land and do not sweep privately owned roads, drives and car park areas. If access is blocked by parked cars, we will be unable to sweep.

Blocked drains and paths

Both Broadland and South Norfolk Councils are only responsible for cleaning the highway of litter, waste and detritus. Concerns regarding the safety of a highway and any other highway issues, such as blocked drains, surface damage, overhanging vegetation and fuel spills would need to be reported to Norfolk County Council Highways team.
