Communities and Place

We have created a Pride in Place community grant scheme to provide local town and parish councils, charitable and voluntary organisations with the opportunity to bid for grants to support the development of new or existing community facilities and build community spirit in our various towns and villages.

Supporting local business

We have launched a Business Builder programme aimed at helping entrepreneurs and established businesses grow and prosper. Entrepreneurs can access advice and support through a comprehensive online business startup training package, while trading businesses are able to access grant funding alongside specialist mentoring support and training courses.

We can also provide support, advice and guidance through the Business Regulatory Support Hub, and we can signpost to relevant types of information and funding that may be useful to a specific business. We are also looking to support local businesses through Cluster Groups, which will allow businesses to support each other by sharing and solving challenges, understanding the local supply chain and exploring new markets.

People and Skills

We have launched the Community Employability Grant, which provides funding to organisations to support residents with entering forms of employment and training by supporting projects which enable people to overcome barriers to employment and upskilling. The councils are looking for a range of providers to deliver localised support for residents of the districts.
