Wheelchair accessible vehicles
If you are a wheelchair accessible vehicle driver requiring an exemption certificate under section 166 of the Act, it is your responsibility to apply for one by contacting us for an application form. You will then be referred to Workplace Health and Wellbeing for a further assessment. The licensing team will make a decision as to whether an exemption should be issued.
If approved, you will be issued with an exemption certificate and an exemption notice to put on display in your vehicle. You can appeal to the magistrates court within 28 days if the licensing team decide not to issue an exemption certificate.
