Advertising

Advertising will only be permitted on or in the vehicle with prior written approval of the licensing team.  You will need to send an email including photographs to show the location of the advertisement on the vehicle for example, full livery (wrap), half sides or doors.  The vehicle proprietor/s must provide a list of vehicle registrations where the approved advertisements will be displayed to the licensing team.  

There is currently no fee for this.

Roof signs

Hackney carriage vehicles

All vehicles (other than a purpose built taxi) must be fitted with a double sided, illuminated roof sign, showing only the words in black lettering 'TAXI' to the front and rear.  The illuminated roof sign will work with the taxi meter so as to extinguish when hired.

Private hire vehicles

Roof signs or roof bars will only be permitted with the prior written approval of the licensing team.
