The Big Broadland litter pick 2026 has now closed. Thank you to all groups who took part for your efforts to keep our district clean and tidy! Community groups and schools that registered to take part in the Big Broadland Litter Pick were entered into a draw to win a share of the £4,000 prize fund. While remaining groups received a £50 voucher to support their organisation, charity, or local community project.

The winning groups receiving a total of £250 each are as follows:

• Horsford CofE VA Primary School Eco Team
• 1st Salhouse Brownies
• Kirby Nuggets
• 2nd Brundall Brownies
• Salhouse Parish Council

If you would like to organise a litter pick, we can provide litter picking equipment to volunteers any time of year. Please complete the webform below.

Groups can choose any location that matters to them, such as a village centre, play area, footpath or local green space, and organise their event at a time that suits them. Groups can contact the Council to arrange collection of rubbish for when they have completed their litter pick.

The scheme continued to grow in its fourth year, with 807 volunteers from 36 groups across the district collecting around 350 bags of litter. Approximately 2.5 tonnes of waste.

Residents, schools, charities, sports clubs and businesses are all invited to register their interest.
