Entries now open for Marriott’s Way 10k

Marriott's Way runners

Runners are being encouraged to secure their place in this year’s Marriott’s Way 10K, which returns on Sunday 20 September 2026.

Organised by Broadland District Council, the popular 10km race starts in Aylsham and finishes in the market town of Reepham, following the historic Marriott’s Way. With a flat, mostly off-road route, the event is suitable for both experienced runners and those new to running, offering wide open views across the Norfolk countryside along the former railway line.

Chairman of the Council, Cllr Adrian Tipple, said:

With its welcoming atmosphere and scenic route, it’s no surprise the Marriott’s Way 10K attracts runners from across the country. Places are limited, so we encourage people to sign up now to be part of this popular event.”

As well as providing a rewarding personal challenge, the event also supports local communities. Income from entry fees helps to fund council services, with a proportion going to the Chairman’s chosen charity, Nelson’s Journey.

Participants can take part individually, with friends, or as part of the Corporate Challenge, making it an fun and inclusive day from start to finish. Places are limited. For more information or to sign up, visit: www.southnorfolkandbroadland.gov.uk/leisure/marriotts-way-10k
