Businesses net top awards at Carrow Road

Seventeen local businesses were celebrating last night (19 March) after receiving accolades at the 2025 Broadland and South Norfolk Business Awards.
The winners were announced at a special awards event held at Norwich City Football Club sponsored by Birketts LLP.
Broadland District Council’s Cabinet Member for Economic Development, Martin Booth said:
“This was a fantastic chance to celebrate those businesses that are thriving within the community, driving our economy and demonstrating best practice at every level. Congratulations to all the finalists and to everyone who put their business forward.”
South Norfolk Council’s Cabinet Member for Greener Economy, Councillor Lisa Neal, said:
“The event really showcased the extraordinary range of businesses operating in the district, from huge multi-nationals to fledgling start-ups, in sectors as diverse as food and drink, retail, insurance and tourism. It was fantastic to meet the people behind these businesses and a great chance for them to get the recognition they deserve for all the hard work, time and sacrifice they’ve put in to making their businesses a success.”
The councils also received thousands of votes from residents for their favourite pubs and retailers.
In South Norfolk, The Wheel of Fortune in Alpington scooped top prize for best Pub of the Year and Albrights of Diss won favourite Retailer of the Year.
In Broadland, The White Horse at Upton took home the Pub of the Year award, while Goat Shed won Retailer of the Year.
Ruth Neave, Partner at Birketts LLP said:
“On behalf of everyone at Birketts I would like to extend our congratulations to all the winners of this year’s Broadland and South Norfolk Business Awards. The ceremony was a fantastic opportunity to recognise the wide range of businesses that make such a big impact on our local communities.”
