Taxi and Private Hire licensing policies
The Broadland District policy and conditions are applicable to all Broadland licensed operators, drivers and vehicles whilst the South Norfolk policy and conditions are applicable to all South Norfolk licensed operators, drivers and vehicles. The licensing process in each authority currently remains separate.
These changes took effect from 1 April 2022, unless otherwise indicated within the policy document.

Hackney Carriage and Private Hire Licensing Policy Consultations
South Norfolk Council and Broadland District Council are reviewing their Hackney Carriage and Private Hire Licensing Policies and Conditions. The consultation runs from 21 September to 16 November 2026, and we invite licensed operators, vehicle proprietors, drivers and other interested parties to submit written comments.
