Premises licences that authorise the sale of alcohol must specify an individual as the designated premises supervisor (DPS).

Application and consent form

Only the licence holder(s) can apply to vary a licence, nominating a new DPS.

The person nominated as the new DPS must hold a personal licence and must complete the consent form which forms part of the application.

If you employ an adult in the knowledge, or with reasonable cause to believe that the employee is disqualified by reason of their immigration status you will be committing an offence under the Immigration, Asylum and Nationality Act 2006.

Fee

The fee for a DPS variation is £23 which you are required to pay online (via a debit or credit card) at the time of submission.

Processing and timescales

A consultation period with Norfolk Constabulary is fourteen days from receipt of a valid application, at the end of which if no representations are received, the application will be granted.
