Chairman of Broadland District Council
Each year at the annual general meeting, which is usually held in May, Broadland District Council elects its Chairman and Vice Chairman. The Chairman chairs the full meetings of the Council and represents the Council at civic events inside and outside of the Broadland district.
The Chairwoman for 2025/26 is Councillor Caroline Karimi-Ghovanlou and the Vice Chairman is Adrian Tipple.
The Chairwoman has announced Norwich Door to Door as their chosen charity for the 2025/26 term.
Norwich Door to Door provides safe, accessible, and friendly door-to-door transport for elderly and disabled residents—especially those on low incomes. The fleet of specially adapted minibuses, equipped with tail-lifts, secure wheelchair anchor points, and trained, DBS-checked staff, helps passengers get to medical appointments, day centres, shops, clubs, and social visits. This service is more than just transport—it’s a lifeline that fosters independence, reduces loneliness, and promotes wellbeing.
