The service contract for garden waste is between you and the district Council. The contract is not transferrable.
The District Council will invoice you annually. If your payment is not received by the due date, your contract will be suspended, and the bin will be removed.
The garden waste bin remains the property of the district Council.
The garden waste bin needs to be on or by the edge of the public highway or pavement by 6:30am on day of collection.
If the collection point for your garden waste bin will not be from the front of your property, please contact us so that we can inform the crew and make alternative arrangements.
Only the contents of the standard 240L wheeled bin will be collected, additional garden waste placed beside the bin will not be taken.
Please make sure that the lid is closed and that you do not overfill your bin. If the bin is too heavy for our lifters, then we will not empty it.
The garden waste service is suspended for two weeks over the Christmas and New Year period.
If you move home within the district, please inform us and take your brown bin with you. Before you move, please let us know your change of address and moving dates so we can continue the service at your new address.
If you are moving out of the district, please let us know your forwarding address, moving dates so that we can close your account and arrange for the bin to be removed after your last collection. Please ensure you cancel your Direct Debit if you have one.
