Conservation areas
Conservation areas are designated for their special architectural and historic interest and are designed to protect the buildings and trees that come within them.
There are 21 conservation areas within Broadland and 52 within South Norfolk.
There are many different types including:
- parts of our historic towns and villages
- 18th and 19th-century suburbs
- model housing estates
- country houses set in their historic parks
We are currently consulting on the conservation area appraisal and proposed boundary changes for the Brooke and Kirstead Conservation Area
The consultation period is running from Monday 13th January until Monday 10th February 2025.
Any comments should be sent via email to chris.bennett@southnorfolkandbroadland.gov.uk or to the South Norfolk Council Office address.
Chris will be available on Monday 20th January at Brooke Methodist Church Hall, 33 Norwich Road from 6pm to 7:30pm prior to the Parish Council Meeting to answer any queries.
