Wymondham race attracts record numbers

Record numbers of runners joined in the EAMA 10K this Sunday (19 November), organised by South Norfolk Council.
Around 650 athletes ran the picturesque route around Wymondham in what was described as “perfect weather conditions”.
South Norfolk Council’s Chairman, Cllr James Easter, started the race and was on-hand to present the winners with their medals at the finish line. He said:
“This race just keeps growing in popularity with people travelling from across the country to take part. There was a fantastic supportive atmosphere, with lots of people cheering the runners along. I would like to say a massive thank you to all the volunteers who helped on the day and made the event such an overwhelming success.”
Congratulations to all the winners, particularly Josh Holman, who ran the course in 33 minutes and 51.1 seconds and Anya Culling who finished in 35 minutes and 13.8 seconds. NETMATTERS won the Corporate Challenge with a combined time of 2 hours, 59 minutes.
EAMA 10K is sponsored by East Anglian Motor Auctions of Wymondham. Money raised from the entry fees is used to fund some of the Council’s most-valued community services, with some also donated to the Chairman’s chosen charity.
