Due to the warm weather this week, our bin crews will start collections earlier, from 6am (instead of the usual 6.30am), on your usual collection day from tomorrow (Tuesday 23 June). This will apply all week.

Police and crime commissioner by-election

There is an election for the new Norfolk Police and Crime commissioner being held on Thursday 16 July 2026. It is a requirement at these elections for all voters attending at polling stations to take with them one form of photo ID, such as a driving licence, passport or bus pass.

There is a Voter Authority Certificate available, free of charge, for those who don’t have any of the prescribed types of ID. It is important to check now if you have one of the accepted types of ID and, if not, to apply now for a Voter Authority Certificate for free at www.gov.uk/apply-for-photo-id-voter-authority-certificate Whichever way you want to vote, you can’t vote without first being registered as an elector. If you are not already registered, it only takes five minutes online at www.gov.uk/register-to-vote

• Deadline to apply for a Voter Authority Certificate is 5pm on Wednesday 8 July

• Polling stations are open 7am to 10pm on Thursday, 16 July.
