Take part in our consultation to help us support rough sleepers

Have your say on our strategy for working with people who are at risk, or who are rough sleeping and be in with a chance to win a £15 local shopping voucher.
Broadland District and South Norfolk Councils are putting in place a strategy with the aim to eliminate rough sleeping in the districts.
The councils are asking residents, customers of the service and organisations that work with them to help them shape this strategy so that it can best help those who need it by:
- preventing rough sleeping from happening
- offering support and accommodation where people are rough sleeping
- helping people to receive support so they don’t go back to rough sleeping
Broadland District Council’s Portfolio Holder for Housing and Wellbeing, Councillor Fran Whymark, said:
“Our residents’ views are invaluable, they help us decide if the proposals in this strategy are the right ones. Your responses will help shape the draft strategy, by working together we can end rough sleeping in our districts for good.”
South Norfolk Council’s Cabinet Member for Better Lives, Councillor Alison Thomas, said:
“Numbers of rough sleepers in both the Broadland and South Norfolk districts are low however no one should be rough sleeping out of necessity. We are doing everything we can to support those facing rough sleeping, and this strategy will help us do that.”
By completing the survey, you can opt to be entered into a prize draw to win one of two £15 shopping vouchers to spend at a independent local shop of your choice in Broadland or South Norfolk – we will draw one winner at random for each district on 25 February and notify the winners.
Complete the survey via our website. It should take around 10 minutes and is available until 11:59pm on Sunday 20 February 2022.
