Spooky half-term activities for kids

Tots2Teens activity day

Families in Broadland are invited to enjoy a fun-filled October half-term as the much-loved Tots2Teens programme makes its return. Once again Broadland District Council is offering a packed schedule of fun, creative and affordable activities for children and young people aged 5 to 16 years.

Broadland District Council’s Cabinet Member for Communities and Housing, Cllr Natasha Harpley, said:

Tots2Teens is a fantastic way for children to stay active, creative and connected during the school holidays. This programme is not only fun and engaging, but also affordable and inclusive for families across our district."

Running from 30 October to 1 November, the programme includes:

  • Spooky Cookery (30 October, ages 11–16): Get hands-on in the kitchen at Sprowston Community Academy, whipping up Halloween-themed treats like witches’ hair pasta and pumpkin-shaped pop cakes.
  • Creepy Crawly Crafts (31 October, ages 5–10): A full day of Halloween-inspired creativity at Hall for All in Weston Longville, including pumpkin carving, bat crafts and monstrous recycled creations.
  • Family Fun Day (1 November): A celebration for all ages at Broadland Country Park, featuring live theatre performances from Strange Fascination Theatre, an autumn treasure hunt, crafts and free goodies, all for just £5 per family!

All activities are run by experienced staff with enhanced DBS checks and follow out-of-school childcare guidance to ensure a safe and welcoming environment for every child.

Bookings can be made online via Broadland District Council’s website, and to make it accessible to all, a 50% discount is available for Broadland households receiving means-tested benefits.  As a Big Norfolk Holiday Fun provider, the Council is also able to offer free places to children who receive free means-tested school meals. Please email T2T@southnorfolkandbroadland.gov.uk for details of how to claim.
