South Norfolk: Wymondham pool to reopen its doors

South Norfolk Council are reopening the swimming pools at Wymondham Leisure Centres on Saturday 22 August.
New safety measures are in place, so customers can confidently and safely enjoy the facilities. Customers will be asked to pre-book their swimming sessions online and arrive at the centre ready to swim.
The centre initially reopened at the end of July and has welcomed a steady flow of customers ever since. While it was closed, the council also expanded the car park and undertook work to the pool filters.
South Norfolk Cabinet Member Councillor Alison Thomas said:
“We are really looking forward to welcoming back our customers to our swimming pools. As with our gyms, there are new procedures in place so our customers can be active, with confidence. “Our staff have had some fantastic feedback on our safety measures in the gym and we have recently installed air quality sensors to ensure the ventilation is always spot on and that we are bang up-to-date with the latest government guidelines.”
The council’s leisure sites at Kett’s Park, Long Stratton and Framingham Earl are also fully open to the public, with Diss Leisure Centre reopening fully in mid-September.
