South Norfolk Leisure launches serious bleed kits

South Norfolk Council has launched serious bleed kits across all its leisure sites.

In the event of a traumatic injury, a person can lose a critical amount of blood within minutes if the correct first aid isn’t available. These kits are designed to provide immediate assistance and potentially save lives in emergency situations.

In addition to the kits, South Norfolk Leisure staff have undergone extensive first aid training. This ensures that they are fully equipped and ready to respond effectively in the event of an emergency.

Chair of South Norfolk Council, Cllr Sharon Blundell said:

The safety and well-being of our customers is our top priority. By introducing serious bleed kits and enhancing our staff's first aid training, we are taking significant steps to ensure that we can provide immediate and effective assistance in critical situations. These measures help create the safest possible environment for our customers to enjoy.

South Norfolk Leisure provides high-quality recreational facilities and services to the South Norfolk community.

Their Leisure facilities include Long Stratton Leisure Centre, Wymondham Leisure Centre, Diss Swim Centre, Kett’s Park and Framingham Earl Sports Centre.
