Due to the warm weather forecast, bin collections across South Norfolk will start earlier than usual this week. Please leave your bins out by 6am on your normal collection day. This temporary change will remain in place for the rest of the week.

South Norfolk Leisure launches Junior Membership offer to get teens active

South Norfolk Council is encouraging young people to get fit, stay healthy and have fun with a special offer on South Norfolk Leisure junior memberships.

Right now, young people aged 13 – 18 can join for free, with no joining fee and get the rest of October completely free.

South Norfolk Council’s Cabinet Member for Health and Leisure, Cllr Kim Carsok said:

These memberships offer a fantastic opportunity for teenagers to enjoy a variety of activities in a safe and welcoming environment. It’s a great way to support their physical and mental wellbeing."

Junior membership gives access to a wide range of facilities and activities across the district, including:

• Gym and EGYM suites at both Wymondham Leisure Centre and Long Stratton Leisure Centre

• Swimming at Wymondham Leisure Centre and Diss Swim Centre during public swim times

• Fitness classes suitable for younger participants

• Free drop-in sessions, including football on the 3G pitches at Long Stratton Leisure Centre and Kett’s Park, and sports hall sessions at Wymondham and Long Stratton Leisure Centres
