South Norfolk: EAMA 10K attracts hundreds of runners

A group of runners of various genders and age ranges

Hundreds of runners took to the streets of Wymondham on Sunday 20 November to take part in the EAMA 10k organised by South Norfolk Council.

The popular road race sponsored by East Anglian Motor Auctions (EAMA) saw hundreds of runners of all ages and abilities complete a circuit from Lady’s Lane in Wymondham and loop around the picturesque countryside near Morley.

In the female category, Amy Beck of Norwich Road Runners finished in first place with an impressive time of 37 minutes and 8 seconds. In the male category, James Coxon of Cambridge and Coleridge AC took the top spot with a time of 31 minutes and 57 seconds.

South Norfolk Cabinet Member for Customer Focus Councillor Richard Elliott, who took part in the race, said:

“It was brilliant to join so many runners of all abilities taking part and enjoying themselves at the EAMA 10k. Helping people to get fit and healthy is one of our top priorities and the money we raise from this event goes straight back into the community to help achieve that aim.”
