South Norfolk Council is working to help residents recycle

On Thursday 7 November, between 10am and 2pm, residents will have the opportunity to get rid of old, broken or unwanted small household electrical items and electronic devices for free.
South Norfolk Cabinet member, Keith Kiddie said:
“With Christmas just around the corner, this is an ideal opportunity for our residents to clear out their cupboards of all their unwanted and broken electrical items and gadgets.
“These events serve as a great opportunity for the community to work together to make a real difference to the future environment of South Norfolk.”
Items that can be accepted at the collection point include any small appliance which uses a plug or batteries. This could include games consoles, kettles, irons, toasters, laptops, mobile phones, microwaves, computer monitors and TVs.
Residents can also bring along their old textiles for recycling such as unwanted clothes, shoes, bed linen, curtains and towels. Please note that the Council is unable to accept pillows, carpet or duvets.
The collection point is located in the car park at Kett’s Park Community and Recreation Centre, Harts Farm Road, Wymondham, NR18 0WP.
The Council is unable to accept commercial waste or larger appliances such as fridges, freezers or washing machines at this event. Find out more about what can be accepted.
