Norfolk Police and Crime Commissioner candidates have been published

The candidates contesting this year's Police and Crime Commissioner election for Norfolk have been unveiled.
The candidates are:
- Christopher Brown – Liberal Democrat
- Mark Buckton – Restore Britain
- Beth Jones - Labour Party
- Marcus Pearcey – Independent
- Martin Schmierer – Green Party
- Colin Sutton – Reform UK
- Matthew Taylor – Conservative Party
Nominations closed at 4pm on Friday 19 June 2026.
The PCC election takes place on Thursday, 16 July, with the votes being counted on Friday, 17 July and declared on the same day. In order to vote in these important elections, residents must be on the electoral register.
- The deadline to register to vote is midnight on Tuesday 30 June. It takes just five minutes and can be done online. Register to vote here.
- The deadline to apply for a postal vote is 5pm on Wednesday 1 July. This can now be done online. Apply for a postal vote here.
- For a proxy vote the deadline is 5pm on Wednesday 8 July. Apply for a proxy vote here.
It is a requirement at these elections for all voters attending at polling stations to take with them one form of photo ID, such as a driving licence, passport or bus pass.
There is a Voter Authority Certificate available, free of charge, for those who don’t have any of the prescribed types of ID.
