Held in partnership with Veolia UK, the event gives residents the opportunity to drop off small electrical items and textiles for reuse or recycling, while also picking up reusable items free of charge.

Councillor Jan Davis, Broadland District Council's Portfolio Holder for Environmental Excellence, said:

Our reuse and recycling events are a great way to give unwanted items a second life while reducing the amount of waste that ends up in the bin. Whether you're clearing out cupboards, decluttering your home or looking for something useful, I'd encourage residents to come along and get involved.

"By reusing and recycling more, we can all play a part in reducing waste, supporting local charities and helping to protect the environment."

From 10:30am to 2pm, residents can drop off unwanted items for reuse and recycling. Visitors can then browse and take home reusable items free of charge between 12pm and 2pm.

The council is accepting:

• Small electrical items such as toasters, kettles, hairdryers and other household electricals.
• Textiles, including clothing, shoes, handbags and household textiles. Textiles should be placed in bags before being dropped off.

Any suitable items left at the end of the event will be donated to charity, helping to ensure that nothing goes to waste.

The event is part of Broadland District Council's ongoing efforts to reduce waste, increase recycling and encourage residents to reuse items wherever possible.
