Deadline announced for Norfolk Police and Crime Commissioner candidates.

On Thursday 16 July residents in Norfolk will go to the polls to have their say on who represents them as the Norfolk Police and Crime Commissioner.
If you wish to stand as a candidate in this election you will need to submit your nomination paper in person, by 4pm on Friday, 19 June 2026.
Nominations must be submitted to the Electoral Services Team, Horizon Centre, Peachman Way, Norwich, NR7 0WF.
Nominations can be accepted on any working day (Monday-Friday) between the hours of 10am and 4pm from 12 June to 19 June 2026. It is a requirement at these elections for all voters attending at polling stations to take with them one form of photo ID, such as a driving licence or passport.
There is a Voter Authority Certificate available, free of charge, for those who don’t have any of the prescribed types of ID.

In order to vote in these important elections, residents must be on the electoral register and people who have not registered at their current address are being urged to make sure they are registered in time. The deadline to register to vote is midnight on Tuesday 30 June. It takes just five minutes and can be done online. Register to vote here.
