With less than two weeks left to apply, the Council is urging groups not to miss the opportunity to secure funding for projects that can make a real difference in their communities.

South Norfolk Council Deputy Leader and Chair of the Community Action Panel, Cllr Kim Carsok, said:

We know how much these community projects matter. They help bring people together, improve our resident’s quality of life and strengthen local pride. With £1 million available through these funds, there is a fantastic opportunity for groups across South Norfolk to turn their ideas into reality.

"I would strongly encourage anyone considering an application not to leave it until the last minute. Whether you are planning a small community initiative or a major improvement to a local facility, this funding could make a lasting difference."

The funding can support a wide range of initiatives, from improvements to village halls, community centres and play areas, to local events, equipment and activities that benefit residents of all ages. Previous grants have helped transform community facilities, improve accessibility and create new opportunities for people to connect and get involved locally.

The Community Action Fund supports grassroots projects that strengthen communities and improve wellbeing, while the Facilities Fund offers larger grants for improvements to buildings and shared spaces that provide long-term benefits for residents.

Cllr Carsok added: "If your group has been thinking about a project, now is the time to act. Don't miss your chance to secure funding before the deadline and make your project happen."

Organisations are encouraged to submit their applications as soon as possible and take advantage of the support available before the funding window closes on 16 August.
