Families across Broadland are gearing up for a fun filled start to spring as Broadland District Council’s Tots2Teens Easter Holiday Programme returns from 30 March to 13 April 2026.

A staple for many local families, the programme offers an extensive range of activities, including bouldering at Highball Climbing, circus skills, natural ceramic making, cooking and more. Activities are designed for children and young people aged 5 to 16, with bookings opening at 10am on 3 March.

Cllr Natasha Harpley, Cabinet Member for Communities and Housing at Broadland District Council, said:

With such a varied and inspiring programme for children across Broadland this Easter, there really is something for everyone. Tots2Teens has always been about giving every child the chance to learn new skills, make friends and enjoy memorable experiences, regardless of their circumstances. With free places, discounted sessions and a fantastic range of activities on offer, we hope families will take full advantage of the opportunities available this year.”

This year’s programme features an especially varied line-up of sessions taking place across the district. Children aged 10 to 16 will have the chance to start the holidays with a bouldering adventure at Highball Climbing in Norwich on 30 March, while younger children can enjoy a day of circus fun on 31 March as the Foolhardy Circus team teaches skills such as spinning plates and diabolo.

On 1 April, the much loved Easter Fun Zone returns with egg painting, hunts and classic seasonal games. For those with a passion for science and technology, the Stemex Science Lab on 2 April offers hands on building, coding and practical experiments in a specialist environment. Young cooks are also well catered for.

The Fictional Foods Cookery Session on 7 April invites 11–16 year olds to recreate dishes from favourite storybooks, including Matilda’s famous chocolate cake and savoury bakes inspired by Robin Hood.

The following day, children aged 5 to 10 can take part in a Very Hungry Caterpillar cookery event, creating fruity treats and hearty meals based on the beloved tale. Creative children aged 11 to 16 can explore nature themed artistry on 9 April by making their own unique pottery using foraged flowers and natural materials in the Natural Ceramics workshop.

The programme concludes with a family friendly finale on 10 April at Broadland Country Park. The Dinojam and Gym Family Fun Day promises interactive fitness challenges, games and an imaginative prehistoric performance suitable for all ages, priced at £5 per family.

As part of the Big Norfolk Holiday Fun scheme, the programme continues its focus on accessibility and support for families. Children who receive means tested free school meals can attend Easter sessions free of charge, while every child who takes part will also receive lunch and snacks, prepared with all dietary needs and allergies in mind. Broadland households claiming means tested benefits, such as Housing Benefit, Universal Credit or Council Tax Reduction, can also access a 50% discount on all activities.

Book your child’s place.
