Broadland: More than 1,000 tickets sold for Community at Heart Lottery

More than 560 players have bought tickets so far, eager to win the £25,000 jackpot in the draw on Saturday 27 February, and support local good causes.

Players get to choose one of 44 registered causes to receive 50% of the £1 ticket price, with a further 10% from each ticket sold going into a community funding pot managed by Broadland District Council. The remaining 40% goes towards prize money and running costs.

More local good causes are continuing to join and there is no deadline for applications, so if you run a non-profit organisation, community group or charity that benefits Broadland residents, sign up on the lottery website.

Cllr Trudy Mancini-Boyle, Deputy Leader of Broadland District Council, said:

"I’m delighted we have surpassed the milestone of 1,000 tickets sold just five weeks after we started selling tickets – I want to thank all of our Community at Heart Lottery players for helping to directly benefit people in Broadland. There’s still time show your support for a local good cause close to your heart and be in with a chance of winning one of our fantastic prizes in the first draw, so don’t miss out.”

After the first draw is on 27 February, draws will take place every Saturday, and prizes include £25,000, £2,000, £200, £25, three extra tickets. To celebrate the first draw, one lucky ticket holder will win a luxury hamper supplied by Blofield Farm Shop, with other 'bolt-on' prizes included as prizes in future draws.
