Broadland: Are you a resident in financial need?

We know that finances are stretched for many households right now, fuel price hikes and cost of living increases have seen many families struggling to cover their outgoings.
At Broadland District Council the Household Support Fund has already supported over 450 households to address financial hardship, but it comes to an end on 31 March, when all grants through this fund will end. There is still a limited pot of money available that we want to ensure reaches those who need it most.
The Household Support Fund provides grants to address severe financial hardship generated by rising costs of living. It can support residents with essential costs such as energy, heating oil, water bills and other household bills.
Broadland Council Portfolio Holder for Housing and Wellbeing Cllr Fran Whymark said:
‘We don’t want any of our residents to be in financial difficulty when there is still assistance available, if you are struggling to pay for your household bills, please contact us and we may be able to help. Funding ends soon and I would hate for any resident to miss out on this valuable help because they applied too late, so please act now.’
If you need help, or know of someone who would benefit from this fund, please reach out to Broadland District Council Help Hub, who will assess applications against eligibility criteria and means testing. The Help Hub can be contacted by mailing helphub@southnorfolkandbroadland.gov.uk or calling by 01603 430431.
