The scheme closes on Friday 18 March 2022, so business need to be quick and apply before it is too late!
Businesses eligible for the Omicron Hospitality and Leisure Grant scheme must offer in-person services, the main service and activity should take place in a fixed rate-paying premises, and it must be in the hospitality, leisure and accommodation sectors. Applicants for the grant should check their eligibility against the criteria set out on the Council’s website.
Cabinet Member for South Norfolk Council Lisa Neal said:
“We know how massively hospitality and leisure businesses were impacted by Covid-19 in general, but most lately the Omicron variant. We have the funds allocated from central Government to offer a lifeline to these businesses and I would hate to see even one eligible South Norfolk business miss out on a grant. Time is running out, so I would encourage all businesses who are yet to apply to submit their grant application now, before it is too late.’’
Cabinet Member for Broadland District Council Jo Copplestone said:
“The Omicron Hospitality and Leisure Grant application window ends in just a matter of days, and I want to make sure that all Broadland businesses who are yet to take advantage of this grant opportunity do so now, before they miss out. I am immensely proud of how hospitality businesses in Broadland have coped over the past two years. I know the challenges they have faced have been enormous, and that is why I want every eligible business to ensure that they benefit from this government funding and help their recovery and prosperity going forward.”
