Diss residents invited to share views on what they need to support health and wellbeing

Diss-covered community engagement event. Join the conversation in Diss

South Norfolk Health and Wellbeing Partnership is asking Diss residents and people who live in the surrounding villages to share their thoughts on where they live.

Participants will be asked what they need to live a happier, healthier life, as part of its first World Café event on 13 July at Diss Football Club from 1pm to 3pm.

There will be small, informal group discussions with cakes, and the first 60 people to sign up and attend will receive £20 as a token of appreciation for taking part.

Participants will have the chance to shape the work of their local health and wellbeing partnership simply by having conversations with other members of the community and a friendly facilitator, who will be asking questions relating to health and wellbeing and capturing any ideas or thoughts shared.

This event is being run by South Norfolk Health and Wellbeing Partnership, which focuses on the local population’s health and wellbeing and addressing health inequalities.

South Norfolk and Broadland Health and Wellbeing Partnerships secured funding from the Pride in Place Shared Prosperity Fund to deliver this project, and is working with Mutual Gain, a social enterprise specialising in building social capital through community engagement.

Participants will be invited back to a follow up meeting on Saturday 7 September to view the report compiled using all of the feedback and perspectives shared. The Partnership will then work with community members to address and implement ideas and themes from the report.

There are no age restrictions for this event, although under 12s will need to have parental consent to take part and need to be accompanied by an adult.
