Holiday fun in Broadland

Broadland District Council’s Tots2Teens is offering fun activities for children aged 5 and upwards to keep the Christmas holiday filled with festive fun.

Broadland District Council’s Cabinet Member for Communities and Housing, Councillor Natasha Harpley, said:

“Tots2Teens is a great opportunity for young people to have fun, make new friends and learn new skills. It’s also ideal for parents looking for safe and enjoyable ways to entertain their children during the holidays.”

This holiday, children who live in the Broadland district can enjoy up to four fun sessions. A Festive Treat Baking Workshop on 21 December at St Margaret’s Church Hall in Old Catton marks the start of the activity days. Children will bake and decorate Christmas sweet treats to take home to enjoy with their family. Youngsters can try their hand at Christmas crafts at Horsford Village Hall on 22 December at a Christmas Card workshop. Children can spend the day making tree ornaments, snow globes and other festive creations. On 2 January at Brundall Memorial Hall, youngsters can have fun in a Dodgeball Workshop, where they will learn how to play dodgeball and other ball games. Children will be celebrating the New Year on 3 January at Plumstead Village Hall with a special New Year’s crafting session. They can spend the day experimenting with different crafting techniques and will make a 2024 calendar to display at home. As well as taking part in the above activities, children will be able to play with games, take part in quiet activities and play outside (weather permitting) during each session. All sessions run from 9:30am- 3:30 pm and include a packed lunch. Broadland District Council is a Big Norfolk Holiday Fun provider and offers a number of funded places. They also offer a 50% reduction on all activities for Broadland households claiming means tested benefits. More information including when the activities take place, how to sign up, and other holiday activities that Tots2Teens are offering this year are on our website.
