Mental health and wellbeing training available
Broadland District Council's latest project to support people suffering with mental health issues is rolling out across the district and to South Norfolk with new training dates confirmed.
South Norfolk and Broadland District Councils are working with the NSFT Wellbeing Service, Thriving Workplaces and Evolve to offers free mental health education and awareness training to representatives of local businesses, community groups or Town or Parish Councils or any other local organisations.
This training helps people to become 'Wellbeing Champions' who can recognise mental health issues and provide low-level support and guidance to individuals in the community, alongside support from the Councils' Help Hub, which is working with Evolve to provide a dedicated Mental Health Support Worker.
Local groups and small businesses are invited to attend any of the following sessions (maximum of two representatives from each organisation) this summer by registering their interest.
All organisations that take part in the Mindful Towns and Villages Project will receive branding they can use that shows they’re certified, in recognition of their commitment and training.
More information on the Mindful Towns and Villages (MTV) project is on our website.
