Get to know wildlife, day or night, at Broadland Country Park

Silver birches at Broadland Country Park

Step into Spring at Broadland Country Park with our exciting new events this May!

You can enjoy a guided wildlife walk and listen to the birds’ dawn chorus at a special stroll next month May. Join us on the morning of 7 May and you could spot, and hear, beautiful songbirds such as Woodlarks and Black Caps.

A knowledgeable volunteer will take you round the park, sharing their knowledge and pointing out different species of butterflies, birds, and other wildlife.

This walk is from 8.30am to 11am and attendees are asked to meet in the car park at 8.15am.

If you’re more of a night owl, we have just the walk on the wild side for you! Join us for an amazing night safari on Saturday 27 May, at 9pm. A knowledgeable guide will lead the way, on the lookout for bats, nightjars, glow worms and tawny owls for you to hopefully observe.

Listening to the woods at night will help you gain a unique perspective on the park, with sounds such as the unforgettable eerie call of the nocturnal nightjars.

For each of these walks, spaces are limited to 15 people. Secure yours via our website. Children are very welcome. The cost per person is £6. All proceeds from both events go directly towards supporting wildlife in the park.

Please wear sturdy boots or appropriate footwear and long trousers to avoid tick bites at either session, and for the night safari please bring a torch if you have one.

Please note that no toilets are available on site.
