Processing and timescales
The consultation period is 28 days from receipt of the valid application. At the end of which, if no representations have been received, the club certificate will be issued within a further 28 days. You may only carry out licensable activities once you have received notification of the application determination from the Licensing Team.
If non-negotiable relevant representations are made against the application, a hearing will be held within 20 working days after the consultation period, where the matter will be decided by the licensing sub-committee (which is made up of Councillors).
Validity and Renewals
The certificate is subject to an annual fee which will be sent to the premises licence holder or nominated representative on the anniversary of the determination of the licence.
If you do not want to use the premises for licensable activities please ensure you surrender the club premises certificate, otherwise you will continue to be liable for the annual fee.
