Environmental Delivery Plan progress updates
- We have expanded electric vehicle charge point provision across the district by installing chargers in our owned car parks and at our Council offices.
- We are delivering Net Zero Go training sessions for our businesses, supported by Groundwork East.
- We are project partners in the Clean Hydrogen Strategy and Roadmap for the Cambridge Norwich Tech Corridor.
- We installed air source heat pumps at our Council offices, Diss Leisure Centre and one of our Temporary Housing accommodation sites saving the equivalent of 322 tones of C02 each year.
- We are carrying out a host of energy efficiency measures at our Council operated leisure centres including insulation, installing solar PV and an air source heat pump.
- We have established a joint venture company with other Norfolk partners to secure mitigation to reduce the nutrient levels in our important waterways.
- All staff within the Council's Corporate Leadership Team are Carbon Literacy accredited
- Electric vehicle chargepoint and solar PV grants are available to our parishes and community groups
- We are working to expand the provision of Carbon Literacy training
