Council Tax - tell us you're moving

It is important that you tell us if you have moved into or out of a property within our areas.

You can do this easily and conveniently by completing an online form - simply follow the links shown below.

If your moving or completion date is more than 7 days ahead or more than 90 days ago you will not be able to complete this form. Simply come back here when your move date is less than 7 days away or contact us by another means if you moved more than 90 days ago.

You will be able to register to receive your bills by e-mail and also set up a direct debit.

Please note that if you are moving between the Broadland and South Norfolk council areas, you will need to complete a moving out form for one council and a moving in form for the other.

Find my Council

You will need to provide your contact details and all relevant dates. You will be asked for the details of the new or previous occupiers/owners of the property. If the property is rented, you will also be asked for details of the owner/landlord.

If you are a landlord and you wish to tell us that your tenants have moved out, please use the moving in form for the relevant council. This will register you as responsible for the council tax and allow you inform us that the property is unoccupied.

If you are a landlord and wish to tell us that you have let a property, use the moving out form to remove yourself as the liable person and provide the new tenant's details.
