Broadland and South Norfolk District Councils are bringing festive joy to children in need across our districts.
Through our annual toy donation drive, we’re collecting new toys donated by residents and businesses across our areas, to be distributed to families throughout the districts to ensure that more children in our communities can experience the magic of Christmas.
Whether it’s a cuddly toy, craft kit or a board game, your donation could make a family's Christmas morning.
How to get involved
We are setting up dedicated drop off points across both districts, making it easy for anyone who wants to contribute.
Simply bring along your new toys and games leave them with our teams before 30 November and we'll deliver them to the families that need them, ready to be wrapped and gifted.
Who will it support?
Toys will be distributed to children across Broadland and South Norfolk who are experiencing hardship, and being supported by local professionals and partner agencies.
Many of these children would otherwise not receive a present on Christmas Day.
What to donate
We welcome donations of new, unopened and high-quality gifts suitable for children and young people aged 0-18.
Examples include:
- Toys
- Books
- Toiletries
- Stationery
- Gift vouchers
For more present ideas based on age please see the FAQ’s section below.
Please do not wrap your donations. We leave this to the families receiving the presents so that they can wrap and gift the presents.
Donations will be accepted at collection centres until 30 November 2025. Donations made after this point are not guaranteed to reach families in time for Christmas.
Please do not donate:
- Used or second-hand items
- Damaged, dirty, or incomplete items
- Items with offensive or inappropriate content
- Food, perishable goods or alcohol
- If your present comes wrapped, we will have to unwrap it to identify the contents
See our full donation policy.

When dropping off toys at a collection centre, please let staff know that your donation is for the Christmas Toy Appeal. Each venue has a secure, designated area for storing donated toys, so staff or volunteers may take them from you and place them in this space.
For safety reasons, do not leave toys outside or unattended. Always ensure donations are handed directly to a staff member or volunteer inside the venue.
Thank you so much for donating to our Christmas Toy Appeal!
