Cyber awareness course
Protect yourself online
Run by the Cybercrime Unit of the Norfolk Police Force, this session will guide you through the following course content:
- cybercrime in Norfolk – the current outlook
- common types of attack
- email/social media hacking
- online theft
- identity fraud
- phishing
- steps to protect yourself online
- securing your digital data
- managing and strengthening passwords
- additional protection methods (two factor authentication and more)
Duration
10am to 12pm approximately.
Equipment
No equipment is necessary for you to bring to the course. Pens and note paper will be available.
Refreshments
Light refreshments will be available throughout the duration of this course. No lunch is provided on either course.
Please feel free to bring your own device so that the Cybercrime Unit can support you in securing your devices/accounts at the end of the session.
