Bystander training for businesses and NTE

Bystander Training for businesses, and those working in the night-time economy

Thursday 26th February, online (Teams) –  12.30pm-1pm

We are delighted to be partnering with the Suzy Lamplugh Trust for a bystander training session designed to empower delegates to be active bystanders when they see harassment taking place, without putting their own personal safety at risk

While the session is open to all, we are focussing on businesses and those working in the night-time economy as this training aligns with the Worker Protection (Amendment of Equality Act) Act 2023, which introduced a new legal duty for all employers to take “reasonable steps” to prevent sexual harassment, and of the eight reasonable steps recommended by the EHRC, bystander intervention is widely recommended - helping to reduce legal risk, strengthen tribunal defence, and demonstrate visible leadership on workplace safety and inclusion.

Please share among your networks.

Register for the Bystander training – 26th February here.

If this time and date is unsuitable, please contact ncsp@norfolk.police.uk to register your interest for further sessions in the coming months. The Trust can provide bespoke/in-person training for a minimum of 75 attendees if that would be of interest to your organisation.”
