Make a card payment

We accept payments online using Visa, Mastercard, Maestro, Delta and Electron cards.

Please ensure your payments are received by the due dates on your bill.

Please make sure you have:

  • your business rates billing reference (9 digits long starting with 1)
  • your debit or credit card

Security information

We are serious about guarding the security of your personal data and the details of any transactions you make, and use encryption to safeguard your data. We do not hold any credit or debit card information that you enter on our secure online payments system.

This service uses Transport Layer Security (TLS) v1.2 technology, a standard supported by major internet browsers. All of your personal and payment card details are protected using strong encryption when transmitted over the internet.

Set up or change a Direct Debit

The quickest and easiest way to pay your business rates is by Direct Debit.

Please make sure you have:

  • your business rates billing reference (9 digits long starting with 1)
  • your sort code and account number

Set up or make changes to your Direct Debit

If you already pay by Direct Debit you can use the service to change your payment date.

If you are unable to sign up to Direct Debit online, please download a Direct Debit instruction.

Telephone payment

Our officers can no longer take card payments over the phone but you can still pay your Council Tax by debit or credit card using our 24 hour telephone payment line.

Dial 01603 430430 to use the automated line. Please ensure you have your business rates billing reference (9 digits long starting with 1) and your payment card to hand.

Bank transfer, Bacs or standing order

If you wish to pay your Council Tax by Bacs or standing order you will need to set this up with your bank.

Make your payment to Broadland District Council quoting your business rates billing reference (9 digits long starting with 1) and these details:

Cheque

Cheques need to be made payable to Broadland District Council, please remember to write your business rates billing reference (9 digits long starting with 1) on the back.
