Big South Norfolk Litter Pick

The South Norfolk Litter Pick

The Big South Norfolk litter pick 2026 has now closed. Thank you to all groups who took part for your efforts to keep our district clean and tidy! The prize payments will be drawn and winning groups will receive notification shortly. If you took part, please keep an eye out for an email confirming the prize payment you have been awarded. The winning groups will also be published on this webpage once the prize draw has been completed.

If you would like to organise a litter pick, we can provide litter picking equipment to volunteers any time of year. Please complete the webform below.

Litter Picks aims to bring communities together, promote pride in local areas and protect wildlife by reducing litter and waste. Participating groups can borrow litter‑picking equipment from the Council, including grabbers, bags and hi‑vis vests, to help them carry out their clean‑ups safely.

Groups can choose any location that matters to them, such as a village centre, footpath, play area or local green space and organise their litter pick at a time that suits them. Groups can contact the Council to arrange collection of rubbish for when they have completed their litter pick.

Last year, hundreds of volunteers took part across South Norfolk, collecting nearly 5 tonnes of litter and helping create cleaner, safer neighbourhoods. The Council hopes even more people will get involved in 2026, especially with this year’s increased prizes.

Residents, schools, charities, sports clubs and businesses are all invited to register their interest.
