Chairman announces his chosen charity
The Natasha Allergy Research Foundation, the UK’s food allergy charity, has been selected by Broadland District Council Chairman Cllr Adrian Tipple as his chosen charity for this civic year 2024-25.
Cllr Tipple has chosen this charity because the cause is one close to his heart. He commented:
“The Natasha Allergy Research Foundation’s work and research makes a huge, positive impact for those suffering with food allergies – my daughter being one of them - and I am proud to be able to support and raise vital funds for this amazing charity. The chances are you will know someone with food allergies as 2.4 million adults have a diagnosed food allergy in the UK.
“As a growing charity, Natasha’s Foundation does an astounding amount of work aided by donations and fundraising and I am delighted to be able to champion them and share the important work they do, hopefully raising lots of money to help fund vital research and policies.”
Through campaigning, education and research, Natasha’s Foundation’s mission is to make allergy history, in particular food allergy, and improve the lives of the millions of people in the UK living with food allergies.
Tanya Ednan-Laperouse OBE, founder of Natasha’s Foundation, said:
“We are delighted that Cllr Tipple has chosen The Natasha Allergy Research Foundation to be his featured civic charity of the year. The unprecedented rise in allergic disease over the last 30 years means there has never been a more important time to understand what is fuelling the global allergy epidemic. We greatly value Adrian’s support and recognition of the essential work we do for people living with this life-threatening condition.
“The donations made through Cllr Tipple’s fundraising will help us with important work we are doing to raise awareness of food allergies and carry out new scientific research, helping us in our mission to #MakeAllergyHistory.”
