Could you be better off? Asks local Councils

10 pound note with a pen and calculator

South Norfolk and Broadland District Councils are helping residents find out if they could be entitled to financial support through a new Better Off benefits calculator.

The councils' Assistant Director of Individuals and Families, Mike Purshouse, said:

“Billions of pounds of welfare benefits go unclaimed every year. We have designed this quick, hassle free and confidential calculator to help our residents access the financial support that they are entitled to.”

Residents could be missing out on valuable support like Housing Benefit, Universal Credit, and more. However, in just a few clicks, they can find out what they are entitled to. The calculator also works out if residents can apply for reduced tariffs on bills such as water and broadband.

All residents have to do, is fill out some basic details on the calculator and they will immediately find out what assistance and reduced tariffs they may be eligible for. Armed with that knowledge they can start improving their financial health.
