Remembrance commemorations

Remembrance Day

This week marks Remembrance Day (Friday, 11th) and Remembrance Sunday (Sunday, 13th), which both provide an opportunity to honour those who have made sacrifices in times of conflict past and present.

On Sunday morning, South Norfolk Council and Broadland District Council’s respective Chairmans will lay wreaths in their Wards to honour those who fought in the First World War, as well as pay tribute to the thousands of veterans involved in conflicts since 1918 and to those who continue to protect our communities by serving in the Armed Forces.

Cllr James Easter, South Norfolk Council’s Chairman, will lay a wreath at All Saints Church in Shelfanger and Cllr John Fisher, Broadland District Council’s Chairman, will lay a wreath at Thorpe St Andrew Church
