Help Hub Employability
At South Norfolk and Broadland District Council, we provide the Help Hub Employability service which can support residents who are currently looking for employment, training, or volunteering opportunities, such as those who are going through redundancy.
The Help Hub can support you with:
- One-to-one information and advice
- Employment-related benefits advice
- Navigation to vacancies and training
- Help to create a great CV and cover letter
- Guidance on how to apply for a job and write an application
- Assistance with interview techniques
- Support with confidence building
Our service is friendly, free, and personalised to suit your needs, with all the support you need in one place. We will work with you to set small achievable goals, to enable you to have the skills and confidence to succeed, as we help you to find a job, training, or voluntary position that you’ll enjoy.

Carrowbreck House
Carrowbreck House provides a range of training and courses to help enhance your skills and provide a smoother transition into new employment.
They provide a wealth of courses, including social media, personal development, starting a new business, and Microsoft Office.

Jobcentre Plus Rapid Response Service
The Jobcentre Plus Rapid Response Service can provide employability support for individuals who suspect they are going to be made redundant, currently serving their notice period, or have been made redundant (capped at 13 weeks post-redundancy).
This service can help with:
- Writing CVs and finding jobs
- Finding information on benefits
- Finding the right training and learn new skills
- Organising work trials [dependant on eligibility]
- Getting any extra help at work if you’re disabled

Working Well Norfolk
Working Well Norfolk helps Norfolk residents living with long-term health conditions to start work and to stay in work.
Support includes:
· One to one support to help you start and/or find sustainable employment.
- Creating tailored, strengths-based action plans. Exploring your needs, barriers, goals, experience, and skills.
- Job search and job preparation. Intensive mentoring on employability skills, skills development, condition management and confidence building.
- Continuous in-work support for you and your employer to help you keep your job.
