Trees and biodiversity

Broadland and South Norfolk are home to a wide range of plants and animals.

Trees, woodland and other green spaces are hugely beneficial in a number of ways:

  • sequestering carbon - they help fight climate change by absorbing carbon dioxide
  • increasing biodiversity - they are home to a wealth of wildlife
  • wellbeing and community benefits - they absorb pollutants so can improve air quality and they are good for our health and wellbeing in general

Find out about the work we are doing to protect and enhance biodiversity in our districts.
