Make a complaint to South Norfolk Council

We want to hear from you when something goes wrong so that we can put it right.

Stage one

We will acknowledge your complaint within five working days. Within 15 working days we will give you a full explanation and tell you how we will resolve your complaint or send a progress report.

Stage two

If you are not happy with the response we send you, you can ask us to review your complaint. We will let you know within five working days that we have received it and within 15 working days you will get a full response.

Local Government Ombudsman

Stage three is the final stage in our complaints procedure. If you are still unhappy you can take your complaint to the Local Government Ombudsman. You can contact the Ombudsman at any time, but they will usually only look into your complaint once you have been through our complaints procedure.

If want to let us know about a missed bin collection, noise complaint or fly tipping please make a report.  By making a complaint instead we will not be able to deal with your issue as quickly as we would like.
